One thing I don't like about Snowrunner, the lack of manual controls. Manual/ Automatic - I got so used to Mudrunner 1, 1+ and the 3 levels of speeds in 1 and reverse. Only in Mudrunner, hope they bring it to Snowrunner. Seems to be drive only option which took some getting used to as the drive option never worked that great to begin with.Ĭruise Control - there is none. However, there is no more ability between pull and drive options on your winch like there was in Mudrunner. The light winch is weak but lets you equip and use it when your vehicle is flipped and engine is off - allowing you to flip yourself over in most cases. I'm coming from PS4 to PC so that might have a little to do with it, but still looks so much better on all platforms. Easy to navigate, awesome scenery, and color! No more grey depressing maps.
Map - way better - a lot more variety and memorable locations. But unlike Mudrunner you can still see the path on the map before unlocking, not necessarily making it a challenge to get to each watch tower or surrounding areas. Same mechanic applies of serving up to a watch tower, enter area is made clear new objectives made viewable.
Kinda weird going through a mud bog and coming out with nearly clean and shiny tires. Something I noticed Mudrunner did that Snowrunner doesn't - mud does not stick to tires. Mud - looks way better and is a lot harder to get out of in my opinion. And the quick snap-to front, back, trailer views (left and right dpad PS4) is not present in Snowrunner.
